The following is an excerpt from JIS Z7311:2010 “Refuse derived paper and plastics densified fuel(RPF)”.
Please refer to the website for the Japan Standards Association (JSA, http://www.jsa.or.jp/) where the aforementioned JIS paper, created on January 20, 2010, is sold.

point2Scope

This standard specifies the specifications of fuel prepared from refuse derived paper and plastics as main material, by compression molding, extrusion molding etc. (hereinafter referred to as “RPF”).

point2Types

RPF is classified by types and classes shown in Table 1.

point2Materials

Main materials of RPF are refuse derived paper and plastics. Mixture of wood scraps, fiber waste and rubber waste with main materials is also acceptable if the quality of RPF meets quality requirements described in Table 2.

point2Classification rules

The limit values shown in Table 2 are average values of the latest six test results measured continuously more than one time a month. Depending on the agreement of relevant delivering and receiving parties, the number of tests to determine average values can be increased.
